Lafayette County Records Contacts

Lafayette County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please use the appropriate public office or official service below for those matters.

Official Lafayette County record channels

The record holder depends on the question. The Sheriff handles county jail and Sheriff-held booking material; the court handles case files; state services cover jail status or state corrections. Lafayette County does not publish an official public jail roster or recent-bookings screen, so use a status, request, or court channel suited to the record needed.

Lafayette County Sheriff's Office
138 W. Catherine Street
P.O. Box 148
Darlington, WI 53530
Phone: (608) 776-4870
Jail questions: available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Current county-jail question: Call the Sheriff/Jail at (608) 776-4870. The official jail page identifies this as the around-the-clock route for questions, not a public roster.
  • Booking sheet or booking photo: Submit a focused request through the Sheriff's open-records form. Include the person, approximate date, location, and record type.
  • County-jail status or alerts: Use WI VINE County Jails or call 1-888-WI-4-VINE. It addresses custody status and notifications, not photographs or case outcomes.
  • Lafayette court case or court document: Search Wisconsin Circuit Court Access for public case information. For documents, contact the Lafayette County Circuit Court Clerk, Courthouse, 626 Main Street, Darlington, WI 53530-1396, at (608) 776-4832.
  • Warrant-related case question: The Sheriff's warrant page directs the public to WCCA. A public case search is not a real-time warrant confirmation, so an affected person should also consult the court, the Sheriff, or an attorney.
  • Wisconsin state custody or supervision: Search the Wisconsin Department of Corrections locator. It is for DOC custody or supervision, not a Lafayette County Jail booking.
  • Federal or immigration custody: Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE's Online Detainee Locator System, which are separate from county jail records.
